Overview

Morocco is one of the ancient intersections of civilization. Boldly situated on the far northwestern corner of Africa, its expansive shoreline stretches from the Atlantic Ocean through the Strait of Gibraltar to the Mediterranean Sea. Its dramatic landscapes include lush plains, high mountains, and the Sahara Desert.

Moroccan cuisine is the culinary star of North Africa. Imperial and trade influence has been filtered and blended into Morocco's culture. Being at the crossroads of many civilizations, the cuisine of Morocco is a melange of Arab, Berber, Moorish, French, Middle Eastern, Mediterranean African, Iberian and Jewish influences. The cooks in the royal kitchens of Fes, Rabat and Marrakech refined Moroccan cuisine over the centuries and created the basis for what is known as Moroccan cuisine today.

This outstanding Treasures of Moroccan Cuisine Tour offers an insider opportunity to explore Morocco's food traditions in the Imperial Cities, the Great South, its Berber villages and the Sahara Desert region. Travelers will explore UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Islamic and Moorish Architecture, glorious houses of worship, colorful souks and a people whos heritage dates back centuries.

• Absolutely! If you would like to extend your trip before or after, we will be more than happy to connect you with our travel coordinator. Contact Sababa Travel for further information.

Do I need travel or medical insurance, and if so what type of coverage?

• It is mandatory to purchase travel/medical insurance at the time of paying for the trip for maximum coverage. For suggestions on insurance companies, contact Sababa Travel for more information.

• For best coverage, this should be purchased at the same time as booking your trip. Additionally, medical transport insurance can be purchased through Medjetassist.
